Description

A refreshing and classic American salad combining crisp apples, celery, grapes, and walnuts in a creamy dressing, served over lettuce.


Ingredients

  • 2 crisp apples, cored and chopped
  • 1 cup celery, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup red grapes, halved
  • 1/2 cup walnuts
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Lettuce leaves (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Core and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces and toss them in lemon juice to prevent browning.
  2. Slice the celery thinly and halve the grapes.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the chopped apples, celery, grapes, and walnuts.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, a bit more lemon juice, and honey (if using) until smooth.
  5. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and gently toss to coat all ingredients evenly.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
