Description

A fresh, crunchy classic salad made with crisp apples, grapes, celery, and walnuts tossed in a creamy dressing. Light, refreshing, and ready in minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crisp apples (such as Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), diced
  • 1 cup red or green grapes, halved
  • 1/2 cup celery, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • Butter lettuce leaves, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the diced apples, halved grapes, sliced celery, and chopped walnuts.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt), lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients and toss gently to coat everything evenly.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
  5. Serve on its own or spooned over butter lettuce leaves for a classic presentation.

Notes

  • Use pecans instead of walnuts for a different nutty flavor.
  • Add diced cooked chicken for a hearty twist.
  • Stir in dried cranberries for extra sweetness.
  • Use half sour cream and half mayo for a tangier dressing.
