Description

These Valentine’s Day fruit treats are a fun, easy, and healthy way to celebrate the holiday of love. Using fresh fruit, cookie cutters, and a little creativity, you can make adorable heart-shaped snacks that are perfect for school parties, after-school snacks, or even romantic brunches. A simple and sweet idea the whole family can enjoy!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled

  • 1 cup seedless watermelon, sliced

  • 1 cup cantaloupe or honeydew melon, sliced

  • 1 cup pineapple, sliced

  • 1 cup seedless grapes

  • 1 banana, sliced

  • 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt (for dipping, optional)

  • Heart-shaped cookie cutters

  • Small skewers or toothpicks (optional)


Instructions

  1. Slice the strawberries, watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple, and banana into flat pieces about ½ inch thick.

  2. Use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut the fruits into hearts.

  3. Arrange the heart-shaped fruits on a plate or thread them onto skewers to make cute fruit kabobs.

  4. Add grapes in between for color and contrast.

  5. Serve with a side of vanilla Greek yogurt for dipping (optional).

  6. Chill until ready to serve.


Notes

  • You can use any fruit you like—kiwi, mango, and apples also work great!

  • To prevent bananas and apples from browning, brush them lightly with lemon juice.

  • Get the kids involved—they’ll love cutting out the hearts.
