Description
Soft chocolate cookies rolled in pecans, filled with gooey caramel, and drizzled with chocolate. These indulgent cookies combine all the classic Turtle candy flavors in every bite!

- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 20–24 soft caramel candies, unwrapped
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional, for drizzle)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Scoop dough and roll into balls, then roll each ball in chopped pecans to coat. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Use your thumb or the back of a spoon to make an indent in the center of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, then let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt the caramels with heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl until smooth. Spoon a little caramel into the center of each cookie.
- If desired, melt the chocolate chips and drizzle over the cookies. Let set before serving.
Notes
- Use dark chocolate chips for an even richer chocolate drizzle.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt for an extra sweet-salty flavor.
- Swap the pecans for chopped walnuts if you prefer.
- Add a chocolate kiss instead of caramel for a fun twist.
