Description

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 (12 fl oz) can evaporated milk or 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together pumpkin purée, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Gradually stir in evaporated milk or heavy cream until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust, smoothing the top.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F (220°C).
  7. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for 40–50 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the filling to set.
