Description

A quick and flavorful Teriyaki Turkey Stir Fry recipe that is perfect for a busy weeknight dinner. This dish features tender ground turkey and crisp vegetables coated in a homemade teriyaki sauce, served over rice or noodles.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Stir Fry:

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 3 green onions, chopped (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

For the Teriyaki Sauce:

  • 1/3 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Teriyaki Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, cornstarch, water, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Cook the Turkey: Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok. Add ground turkey and cook until browned. Remove from skillet.
  3. Stir Fry Vegetables: In the same skillet, cook broccoli, bell pepper, and carrots until tender-crisp. Return turkey to the pan.
  4. Add Sauce: Pour the teriyaki sauce over the meat and vegetables. Cook until sauce thickens.
  5. Serve: Top with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve hot over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • You can use ground chicken or beef as a substitute for turkey.
  • Add water chestnuts or snap peas for extra crunch.
  • Double the sauce if serving over rice or noodles.
