Description

This Tater Tot Pizza Casserole is a fun, kid-friendly dinner that combines the cheesy, meaty goodness of pizza with the crispy crunch of tater tots. It’s quick to prep, easy to customize with your favorite toppings, and totally satisfying!


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 cup pizza sauce

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion

  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper

  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 (28 oz) bag frozen tater tots

  • 10 slices pepperoni (or more, to taste)

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • Cooking spray or oil for greasing


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the onion until browned. Drain excess grease.

  3. Stir in the pizza sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, bell pepper, and olives. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

  5. Sprinkle 1 cup of mozzarella cheese over the meat mixture.

  6. Arrange tater tots in a single layer over the top.

  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.

  8. Remove from the oven, sprinkle remaining cheese and pepperoni slices over the top.

  9. Return to the oven and bake for another 5–7 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.

  10. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.


Notes

  • You can swap ground beef with ground turkey or sausage.

  • Add mushrooms, jalapeños, or other pizza toppings to customize.

  • Great for freezing – just bake, cool, and freeze in portions.
