Description

Taco Spaghetti is a bold and flavorful fusion of Tex-Mex and Italian cuisine, combining taco-seasoned ground beef with spaghetti noodles and cheese for a hearty dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 2 cups water
  • 8 oz spaghetti noodles, broken in half
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeños

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and cook until softened.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and mix well.
  4. Add diced tomatoes with green chilies and water, stirring to combine.
  5. Add spaghetti noodles, making sure they are submerged in the liquid. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 12-15 minutes or until pasta is cooked, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove from heat and stir in cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese until melted and combined.
  8. Serve hot with optional toppings like sour cream, cilantro, and jalapeños.
