Description

Taco Spaghetti is a bold and flavorful fusion dish that combines the zesty, spicy flavors of tacos with the comforting texture of spaghetti—perfect for a quick and crowd-pleasing dinner.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tablespoons homemade blend)
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped cilantro, green onions, or jalapeños for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks.
  3. Drain excess fat if necessary, then stir in taco seasoning, salsa, and water. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Add cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
  5. Stir in sour cream and half the cheddar cheese. Mix until combined and creamy.
  6. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top and let it melt before serving.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro, green onions, or jalapeños if desired.

Notes

  • Swap beef with ground turkey or plant-based crumbles for a lighter or vegetarian option.
  • Use mild or hot salsa based on spice preference.
  • Add black beans or corn for extra texture and nutrition.
  • This dish reheats well and is great for meal prep.
