Ingredients
- 4 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 4 medium sweet potatoes)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Pecan Crumble Topping:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, brown sugar, eggs, milk, melted butter, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, softened butter, and chopped pecans until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the pecan crumble evenly over the sweet potato mixture.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the filling is set.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Can be made a day ahead and baked before serving.
- For a lighter version, reduce the sugar or substitute with maple syrup or honey.
