Miniature smokie sausages coated in a sweet and tangy glaze—perfect as a crowd-pleasing appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb (approx. 32 oz) cocktail smokies
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (optional for tang)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, ketchup, honey, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, garlic powder, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Place smokies in a 9×13″ baking dish or ovenproof skillet.
  4. Pour glaze over smokies, stirring gently to coat all the sausages.
  5. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until glaze is thickened and sausages are heated through with a sticky finish.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Can be kept warm in a slow cooker on low for parties.
  • Adjust sweetness or tang by altering honey and vinegar to taste.
  • For a spicy kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
