Description

A delicious Sweet and Spicy Chicken recipe that combines tender chicken with a flavorful sauce made of honey, soy sauce, and chili for the perfect balance of heat and sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha or chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, sriracha, garlic, and ginger.
  5. Pour the sauce over the cooked chicken and stir to coat evenly.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry, then add to the skillet.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  9. Serve hot over rice or with steamed vegetables.
