Ingredients
-
1 box (15.25 oz) strawberry cake mix
-
1/3 cup vegetable oil
-
2 large eggs
-
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-
24 Hershey’s Kisses (milk chocolate or your favorite variety)
-
Optional: powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a large bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined and a soft dough forms.
-
(Optional) Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and then roll each in powdered sugar for a crinkle effect.
-
Place dough balls about 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheet.
-
Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the cookies are set but still soft in the center.
-
Immediately press a Hershey’s Kiss into the center of each cookie while they’re still warm.
-
Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
-
Chill the dough for 20 minutes if it’s too sticky to handle.
-
You can use different flavors of Kisses like white chocolate or strawberry-filled for a twist.
-
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
