Description

This Strawberry Heaven on Earth Cake is a dreamy, no-bake dessert layered with angel food cake, sweet strawberry pie filling, creamy vanilla pudding, and whipped topping. It’s light, fruity, and perfect for summer gatherings or anytime you want an easy and delicious treat!

Ingredients

  • 1 prepared angel food cake (store-bought or homemade)

  • 1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling

  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 1/2 cups cold milk

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • Fresh strawberries, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cut the angel food cake into bite-sized cubes and layer half of them in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Spread half of the strawberry pie filling evenly over the cake cubes.

  3. Add the remaining cake cubes on top of the filling.

  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until it begins to thicken (about 2 minutes).

  5. Stir in the sour cream until smooth and fully combined.

  6. Pour the pudding mixture evenly over the cake and strawberry layers.

  7. Spread the whipped topping evenly over the pudding layer.

  8. Spoon the remaining strawberry pie filling over the top.

  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

  10. Garnish with fresh strawberries before serving, if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute the strawberry pie filling with cherry or blueberry for a fun twist.

  • For a more homemade touch, use fresh strawberries and a simple glaze instead of canned pie filling.

  • Make it ahead — this dessert tastes even better the next day!
