Ingredients
-
2 (5 oz) cans of tuna in water, drained
-
1/4 cup mayonnaise
-
1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
-
1 teaspoon soy sauce
-
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
-
1 cup shredded lettuce
-
1/2 cup shredded carrots
-
1/4 cup thinly sliced cucumber
-
1/4 cup chopped green onions
-
1 cup cooked white rice (optional for sushi-style wrap)
-
4 large flour tortillas
-
4 tostada shells or crispy wonton wrappers (for crunch)
-
1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)
-
Cooking spray or a little oil for toasting
Instructions
-
Make the spicy tuna filling: In a bowl, mix tuna, mayo, sriracha, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined. Taste and adjust heat level if needed.
-
Assemble the wrap: Lay a tortilla flat. In the center, layer some rice (if using), spicy tuna, lettuce, carrots, cucumber, green onions, a tostada shell (or crunchy wrapper), and cheese if desired.
-
Fold the wrap: Fold the edges of the tortilla up and over the filling, working in a circular motion to close it up into a hexagon-like shape.
-
Toast the crunchwrap: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Lightly coat with cooking spray or a little oil. Place the wrap seam-side down and cook for 2–3 minutes until golden. Flip and cook the other side until crispy.
-
Serve: Slice in half and enjoy immediately with extra sriracha mayo or soy sauce on the side.
Notes
-
Swap tuna for canned salmon or shredded cooked chicken for a different twist.
-
Make it vegetarian with mashed chickpeas or tofu crumbles.
-
For extra crunch, add pickled jalapeños or red onion.
