Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar and flour.
- Add the melted butter and mix until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the buttermilk, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and nutmeg.
- Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is lightly golden.
- Let the pie cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
