Description

These Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Meatballs are sweet, savory, and incredibly easy to make. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or weeknight dinners, they simmer in a delicious honey garlic sauce that everyone loves.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs frozen fully cooked meatballs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together honey, ketchup, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  2. Place the frozen meatballs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them.
  3. Stir to coat all the meatballs evenly.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.
  5. In the last 30 minutes, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to form a slurry. Stir it into the slow cooker to thicken the sauce.
  6. Continue cooking uncovered until sauce has thickened.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving if desired.

Notes

  • Homemade meatballs can be used instead of frozen—just brown them first.
  • Great served over rice or noodles, or as an appetizer with toothpicks.
  • Adjust honey or soy sauce to suit your preferred balance of sweet and salty.
