- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Place the chicken legs in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, olive oil, minced garlic, dried basil, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken legs, making sure they are evenly coated.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- If a thicker sauce is desired, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the sauce in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Serve the chicken legs with sauce spooned over the top.
