Description

Tender and flavorful chicken legs cooked slowly in a rich honey garlic sauce, perfect for a hassle-free dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1 tablespoon water (optional, for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken legs in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, ketchup, olive oil, minced garlic, dried basil, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the sauce over the chicken legs, making sure they are evenly coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  5. If a thicker sauce is desired, mix the cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the sauce in the last 30 minutes of cooking.
  6. Serve the chicken legs with sauce spooned over the top.
