Ingredients
-
1 (3-4 lb) boneless skinless turkey breast
-
2 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon dried thyme
-
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
-
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
-
1 small onion, quartered
-
3 cloves garlic, smashed
-
Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme), optional for extra flavor
Instructions
-
Prep the turkey: Pat the turkey breast dry with paper towels. Rub with olive oil or melted butter.
-
Season: Mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and rosemary in a small bowl. Rub the seasoning mix all over the turkey breast.
-
Add to slow cooker: Place the onion, garlic, and optional fresh herbs in the bottom of the slow cooker. Pour in the chicken broth.
-
Cook: Place the turkey breast on top. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
-
Optional – Brown the top: For a crispier skin or crust, transfer the turkey to a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 3–5 minutes.
-
Rest and slice: Let the turkey rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with pan juices or your favorite gravy.
Notes
-
You can use bone-in turkey breast too – just adjust cooking time slightly.
-
Leftovers make great sandwiches or salads.
-
For a richer flavor, add a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce to the broth.
