Description

A hearty and flavorful slow cooker chili packed with ground beef, beans, tomatoes, and spices, perfect for an easy and comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker.
  4. Add kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne (if using), salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir everything together until well combined.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite toppings like cheese, sour cream, or green onions.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by varying the amount of cayenne pepper.
  • Can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days or frozen for longer storage.
