Description

This Slow Cooker BBQ Pulled Pork Tenderloin is tender, juicy, and packed with smoky barbecue flavor. It’s an easy, hands-off recipe that’s perfect for weeknight dinners, meal prep, or feeding a crowd. Serve it on buns, over rice, or in tacos—whatever you like!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds pork tenderloin

  • 1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce (your favorite kind)

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Place the sliced onions and minced garlic in the bottom of your slow cooker.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and chili powder (if using).

  3. Place the pork tenderloin on top of the onions, then pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the pork.

  4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 4–5 hours, until the pork is tender and easy to shred.

  5. Once done, remove the pork and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.

  6. Let it warm for another 10–15 minutes, then serve hot on buns, over rice, or however you like.

Notes

  • You can use pork shoulder or pork loin as an alternative to tenderloin, but cooking times may vary.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.

  • Freezes well for up to 3 months—just thaw and reheat before serving.
