- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup Italian dressing
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a small bowl, mix together BBQ sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Remove chicken and shred with two forks.
- Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to coat with the sauce.
- Serve warm on buns, over rice, or as desired.
Notes
- Use your favorite brand of BBQ sauce for customized flavor.
- For extra heat, add hot sauce or chili flakes to the sauce mix.
- This recipe works well with chicken thighs as well.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for later use.
