Marinated Beef:

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain

Stir-fry:

  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup beef broth or water
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Serving:

  • Cooked white rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Marinate Beef: Toss sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Stir-fry: Heat oil in a skillet, sear beef until browned. Set aside. Stir-fry peppers and onions until tender-crisp. Add garlic and ginger.
  3. Make Sauce: Whisk oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, beef broth, and pepper.
  4. Combine: Return beef to the pan, pour in the sauce, and cook until thickened.
  5. Serve: Hot over rice.
