Marinated Beef:
- 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
Stir-fry:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup beef broth or water
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Serving:
- Cooked white rice for serving
Instructions
- Marinate Beef: Toss sliced steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Marinate for 10–15 minutes.
- Stir-fry: Heat oil in a skillet, sear beef until browned. Set aside. Stir-fry peppers and onions until tender-crisp. Add garlic and ginger.
- Make Sauce: Whisk oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, beef broth, and pepper.
- Combine: Return beef to the pan, pour in the sauce, and cook until thickened.
- Serve: Hot over rice.
