Description

Roasted Balsamic Brussels Sprouts are a simple, flavorful side dish made with fresh Brussels sprouts, tangy balsamic vinegar, and a touch of sweetness from honey. Perfectly caramelized in the oven, they pair well with many main courses.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread them out in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down for better caramelization.
  4. Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until browned and crispy on the edges, stirring once halfway through.
  5. Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar and honey (if using). Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Serve warm as a delicious side dish.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.
  • You can add garlic or red pepper flakes for additional flavor.
  • Use maple syrup instead of honey for a vegan version.
