Description

These patriotic Red, White, and Blue Dirt Cups are a fun and festive no-bake dessert made with layers of crushed cookies, pudding, and colorful whipped topping – perfect for 4th of July or any summer celebration.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • Red food coloring
  • Blue food coloring
  • Fresh blueberries and sliced strawberries for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or by placing them in a zip-top bag and crushing with a rolling pin. Set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cold milk and vanilla pudding mix for about 2 minutes, then let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  4. Fold the cream cheese mixture into the pudding until well combined.
  5. Gently fold in the whipped topping until fully incorporated.
  6. Divide the mixture into three bowls. Leave one bowl white, tint one red with red food coloring, and the third blue with blue food coloring.
  7. In clear cups or jars, layer crushed cookies, then blue pudding, more cookies, then white pudding, more cookies, and finally red pudding. Top with more crushed cookies.
  8. Garnish with fresh berries if desired and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use clear cups to show off the festive layers.
  • You can prepare these a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to serve.
  • Try using colored sprinkles or gummy candies for extra fun.
