  4. Pipe and bake: Pipe rounds onto baking sheet, let dry, bake at 300°F for 14–16 minutes.
  5. Make filling: Beat mascarpone, butter, sugar, vanilla, and salt until creamy.
  6. Fill macarons: Pipe filling onto shells, sandwich together, chill before serving.
