- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup milk (optional, for thinning cheesecake mixture)
Instructions
- Prepare red velvet cake according to package instructions. Allow to cool completely, then cut into cubes.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined. If too thick, add milk to thin slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream with granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Fold whipped cream into the cheesecake mixture until fully incorporated.
- In a trifle dish or large glass bowl, layer half of the red velvet cake cubes, followed by half of the cheesecake mixture. Repeat the layers.
- Top with additional whipped cream or crumbled cake pieces if desired.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
