Description

A deliciously simple dessert featuring caramelized bananas coated in rich brown sugar, perfect for a quick sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Slice the bananas into rounds or lengthwise as preferred.
  2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add the brown sugar and stir until it begins to dissolve and bubble.
  4. Place the banana slices into the skillet in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden and caramelized.
  6. Sprinkle with cinnamon and a pinch of salt if desired.
  7. Remove from heat and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas to prevent them from becoming mushy.
  • Serve with ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
  • Try adding a splash of rum for a flambé effect.
