Description

This quick and easy garlic butter chicken is packed with flavor and made in just one pan! Juicy chicken breasts are seared to perfection, then simmered in a rich garlic butter sauce. It’s a simple weeknight dinner that tastes like a restaurant-quality meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 5 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (or water)

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and let it melt.

  • Stir in the garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.

  • Return the chicken to the pan and spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.

 

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.


Notes

  • For extra juicy chicken, use a meat thermometer and cook to 165°F internal temperature.

  • This dish pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.

  • You can swap chicken breasts for chicken thighs if preferred—just adjust the cook time slightly.
