Ingredients
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
5 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
-
1/4 cup chicken broth (or water)
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika on both sides.
-
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
-
Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5–6 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and let it melt.
-
Stir in the garlic and Italian seasoning. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
-
Pour in the chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any browned bits.
-
Return the chicken to the pan and spoon the garlic butter sauce over the top. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
Notes
-
For extra juicy chicken, use a meat thermometer and cook to 165°F internal temperature.
-
This dish pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes, rice, or steamed veggies.
-
You can swap chicken breasts for chicken thighs if preferred—just adjust the cook time slightly.
