- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken breasts and sear for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt.
- Stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), cooking for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spoon the garlic butter over the chicken, and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure chicken is cooked to 165°F (74°C).
- Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or mashed potatoes.
- Double the garlic butter sauce for extra richness.
