- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and heat until shimmering.
- Add the chicken breasts and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add butter and let it melt. Then add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in Italian seasoning and return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter over the chicken.
- Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
