Description

Savory and slightly sweet pastries featuring prosciutto and brie baked in a golden puff pastry with a sticky honey and thyme glaze.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • 4 oz brie cheese, cut into slices
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Drizzle a little honey and sprinkle thyme on the parchment paper in 4 equal spots.
  3. Place a slice of prosciutto over each honey-thyme spot.
  4. Top each with a slice of brie cheese.
  5. Cut the puff pastry into 4 squares and place one square over each prosciutto-brie stack, tucking in the edges slightly.
  6. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  8. Remove from oven and let cool for a minute, then carefully flip each pastry upside down onto a plate to reveal the caramelized tops.

Notes

  • Use parchment to avoid sticking due to the honey.
  • You can substitute prosciutto with ham or turkey for variation.
  • Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
