Description

A flavorful dipping sauce perfect for potstickers, dumplings, or other Asian appetizers, combining salty, tangy, and slightly sweet notes.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions (optional)


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and water.
  2. Add the sugar and stir until fully dissolved.
  3. Mix in the minced garlic and grated ginger.
  4. If desired, stir in red pepper flakes for heat and green onions for freshness.
  5. Let the sauce sit for at least 10 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve as a dipping sauce for potstickers or dumplings.

Notes

  • Adjust soy sauce and vinegar to taste for desired saltiness and tang.
  • Add a splash of chili oil for extra heat.
  • This sauce can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 1 week.
