Description

Pizza Burgers are a delicious combination of juicy burgers and zesty pizza flavors, perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 8 slices pepperoni (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Spoon the meat mixture evenly onto the bottom halves of the hamburger buns placed on a baking sheet.
  5. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices if using.
  6. Cover with the top halves of the buns.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are slightly crispy.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or plant-based meat as a substitute for ground beef.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives for extra pizza flavor.
  • Use whole wheat buns for a healthier version.
