- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 8 slices pepperoni (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the beef is browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
- Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Spoon the meat mixture evenly onto the bottom halves of the hamburger buns placed on a baking sheet.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices if using.
- Cover with the top halves of the buns.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the buns are slightly crispy.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or plant-based meat as a substitute for ground beef.
- Add sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives for extra pizza flavor.
- Use whole wheat buns for a healthier version.
