Description

This Pineapple Mezcal Sour is a smoky, tropical twist on the classic sour cocktail. Fresh pineapple juice adds natural sweetness and a burst of flavor, while lime juice balances it out with a zesty kick. It’s smooth, refreshing, and has just the right amount of edge thanks to the mezcal.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz mezcal

  • 1 oz fresh pineapple juice

  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice

  • 1/2 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 oz egg white (optional, for a frothy top)

  • Ice

  • Pineapple wedge or lime wheel, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Add mezcal, pineapple juice, lime juice, simple syrup, and egg white (if using) to a cocktail shaker.

  2. Shake without ice for about 15 seconds (dry shake) to emulsify the egg white.

  3. Add ice and shake again for another 15–20 seconds until well chilled.

  4. Strain into a chilled coupe glass or rocks glass.

  5. Garnish with a pineapple wedge or lime wheel.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • If you prefer a vegan version, skip the egg white or use aquafaba as a substitute.

  • Use freshly squeezed juices for the best flavor.

  • Adjust the simple syrup to taste, depending on how sweet your pineapple juice is.
