- 1 pound ground beef or thinly sliced steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 large eggs
- Optional: chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the Vegetables: In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the bell pepper and onion until softened. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Cook the Meat: Add the ground beef or sliced steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Make the Creamy Mixture: Stir in cream cheese, sour cream, and Worcestershire sauce until creamy.
- Add Eggs: Whisk eggs in a bowl, then add to the skillet mixture. Combine well.
- Assemble and Bake: Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with provolone and cheddar cheese. Bake for 25–30 minutes until set and golden.
- Garnish and Serve: Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
