- 4 slices of sourdough bread
- 4 tablespoons basil pesto
- 4 slices mozzarella cheese
- 4 slices provolone cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice.
- Spread pesto on the unbuttered side of two slices.
- Layer mozzarella and provolone cheese over the pesto.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, buttered side facing out.
- Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side, and cheese is melted.
- Remove from skillet, slice, and serve warm.
