Description
This peanut butter cup dump cake is a chocolate lover’s dream! It’s loaded with rich chocolate pudding, chopped peanut butter cups, and topped with a buttery chocolate cake layer. Best of all, it’s made with just a few ingredients and no mixing bowls — just dump, bake, and enjoy.
Ingredients
-
1 (3.9 oz) box instant chocolate pudding mix
-
2 cups cold milk
-
1 (15.25 oz) box chocolate cake mix
-
1 cup peanut butter cups, chopped (plus extra for topping)
-
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter (melted)
-
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
-
Optional: chocolate chips or peanut butter chips for extra topping
Instructions
-
Preheat oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
-
Make pudding layer: In the baking dish, whisk together chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until smooth and slightly thickened.
-
Layer the goodies: Sprinkle chopped peanut butter cups evenly over the pudding.
-
Add the cake mix: Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over the top. Do not stir.
-
Pour it on: Drizzle melted peanut butter over the cake mix, then pour melted butter on top to cover as much of the cake mix as possible.
-
Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is set and bubbly around the edges.
-
Serve: Let cool slightly. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and more peanut butter cups on top, if you like.
Notes
-
This cake is gooey and rich — it’s supposed to be messy like a cobbler!
-
You can add chocolate chips or peanut butter chips between the layers for extra sweetness.
-
Use Reese’s mini peanut butter cups or chop up full-size ones for best texture.
