Description

Peach Puff Pastry Bake is a simple yet elegant dessert featuring juicy peaches wrapped in flaky, golden puff pastry. Lightly sweetened and spiced, it’s the perfect summer treat served warm with ice cream or whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 3 cups fresh or canned peaches, sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss sliced peaches with sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until well coated.
  3. Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Spoon the peach mixture into the center, leaving a 1-2 inch border all around.
  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over the peaches, partially covering them.
  6. Brush the pastry edges with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Dot the peach filling with small pieces of butter.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use nectarines or plums instead of peaches for a twist.
  • Add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup before serving for extra sweetness.
  • Sprinkle sliced almonds on top for added crunch.
