Description

This simple and flavorful oven roasted broccoli brings out the natural sweetness and nuttiness of the vegetable with crispy edges and tender stems.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the broccoli florets.
  3. In a large bowl, toss broccoli with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and optional red pepper flakes.
  4. Spread broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Roast for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until edges are crispy and browned.
  6. Remove from oven and drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle Parmesan cheese, if desired.
