Ingredients
Scale

- 12–16 meatballs (3–4 per sandwich)
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 4 tbsp garlic butter
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking dish with foil or parchment paper.
- Slice the sub rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
- Spread garlic butter inside each roll and toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes until slightly crisp.
- Warm the meatballs and marinara sauce together in a pan until heated through.
- Spoon 3–4 meatballs into each toasted roll and top with marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan cheese over the meatballs.
- Place the sandwiches in the baking dish and bake uncovered for 10–12 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, sprinkle with Italian seasoning and parsley if desired, and serve hot.
Notes
- Use spicy Italian sausage meatballs for extra heat.
- Swap marinara for Alfredo sauce for a creamy variation.
- Add sautéed bell peppers and onions for more flavor.
- Try provolone or cheddar instead of mozzarella.
- Use dinner rolls for mini slider versions.
