Description

This Orange Dreamsicle Salad is a sweet, fluffy, and fruity dessert salad made with orange Jell-O, whipped topping, creamy vanilla pudding, and mandarin oranges. It’s light, refreshing, and tastes just like a creamsicle! Perfect for potlucks, BBQs, holiday dinners, or anytime you’re craving a retro treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 box (3 oz) orange Jell-O

  • 1 cup boiling water

  • 1/2 cup cold water

  • 1 box (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed

  • 1 can (15 oz) mandarin oranges, drained

  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

  • Optional: 1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained

  • Optional: extra marshmallows or oranges for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the orange Jell-O in the boiling water. Stir in cold water and mix well.

  • Let the Jell-O cool for about 10–15 minutes, then whisk in the dry vanilla pudding mix until smooth and slightly thickened.

  • Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 30–40 minutes, or until it starts to set but is still slightly soft.

  • Fold in the whipped topping until well combined and fluffy.

  • Gently stir in the drained mandarin oranges, mini marshmallows, and pineapple if using.

  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to chill and fully set.

  • Serve cold, optionally garnished with extra oranges or marshmallows on top.

Notes

  • For a more intense orange flavor, add a little orange zest.

  • This salad can be made a day ahead — just give it a quick stir before serving.

  • You can substitute sugar-free versions of Jell-O, pudding, and whipped topping if desired.
