- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz penne pasta (uncooked)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add cubed chicken, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Add uncooked penne pasta, stirring to combine. Reduce heat to a simmer and cover the pot.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if using. Cook another 2 minutes until sauce is creamy.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
