Description
A hearty and comforting one-pot meal featuring ground beef, pasta shells, and a creamy, cheesy sauce that’s perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups medium pasta shells, uncooked
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Add diced onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika; cook for another 30 seconds.
- Pour in beef broth and marinara sauce. Stir to combine.
- Add uncooked pasta shells and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until pasta is tender.
- Stir in the heavy cream, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan until melted and creamy.
- Let simmer uncovered for another 2-3 minutes to thicken slightly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
Notes
- Use whole milk or half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a lighter option.
- Try different cheeses like mozzarella or Monterey Jack for variety.
- This dish reheats well, making it great for leftovers.
