Description
Quick, fluffy cinnamon rolls filled with cinnamon-sugar and topped with a cream cheese glaze—all in just about an hour.

- 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (plus more softened for filling)
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for thinning glaze, if needed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
- Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead dough on floured surface for 3–5 minutes until smooth.
- Roll dough into ¼-inch thick rectangle.
- Spread softened butter on dough, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll tightly from long edge, slice into 12 even rolls.
- Place in baking dish, let rise 20 minutes in a warm place.
- Bake 20–25 minutes or until golden.
- Mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk to make glaze.
- Spread glaze over warm rolls and serve.
Notes
- Add chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.
- Use orange zest in glaze for citrus flavor.
- Sub cream cheese glaze with vanilla icing if desired.
- Add raisins or dried cranberries for texture.
