Description

These chewy and buttery cookies are studded with colorful M&M candies, perfect for any occasion and guaranteed to be a hit with both kids and adults.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups M&M candies (regular or mini), divided

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cornstarch, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until combined.
  6. Fold in most of the M&M candies, reserving some for topping.
  7. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet using a cookie scoop or spoon, spacing them a couple of inches apart.
  8. Press a few reserved M&Ms on top of each dough ball for a colorful finish.
  9. Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges are golden but centers are still soft.
  10. Let cookies cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
