Description

Mint Magic Bars are a delightful twist on the classic seven-layer bars, featuring a minty chocolate flavor layered with sweetened condensed milk, coconut, and cookie crumbs.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup mint chips or chopped mint candies
  • 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13 inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs with the melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
  3. Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, mint chips, coconut, and nuts (if using) evenly over the milk layer.
  5. Press down gently with a spatula to ensure all layers are slightly embedded.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
  7. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Use peppermint extract if you don’t have mint chips for added flavor.
  • Bars can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
  • Chill before slicing for cleaner cuts.
