Description

Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole is a rich and creamy baked pasta dish made with layers of spaghetti, cheese, ground beef, and marinara sauce, perfect for a comforting family dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. Add marinara sauce to the cooked beef. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
  6. Place half of the cooked spaghetti in the baking dish. Top with cheese mixture and spread evenly.
  7. Place remaining spaghetti on top of cheese mixture. Add sliced butter on top.
  8. Pour meat sauce over the spaghetti layers. Spread evenly.
  9. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  11. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
  • Use ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese if preferred.
  • Add chopped onions or bell peppers for more flavor.
  • Freezes well for future meals.
