- 1 lb spaghetti
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the cooked beef. Simmer for 5-10 minutes.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, and sour cream. Mix until smooth.
- Place half of the cooked spaghetti in the baking dish. Top with cheese mixture and spread evenly.
- Place remaining spaghetti on top of cheese mixture. Add sliced butter on top.
- Pour meat sauce over the spaghetti layers. Spread evenly.
- Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake uncovered for 30-35 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Can be made ahead and refrigerated before baking.
- Use ricotta cheese instead of cottage cheese if preferred.
- Add chopped onions or bell peppers for more flavor.
- Freezes well for future meals.
