Meatballs:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Assembly:
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil or parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the Meatballs: In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Shape into meatballs and bake for 18–20 minutes.
- Assemble: Transfer meatballs to a baking dish, cover with marinara sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan. Bake for another 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Finish and Serve: Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
