  • 1/2 cup sour cream

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, 1/2 cup sugar, salt, eggs, sour cream, and the yeast mixture. Knead until a soft dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare the filling by mixing 1/4 cup softened butter, 1/4 cup sugar, and lemon zest.
  5. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Spread the lemon filling evenly over the dough.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from one long side and cut into even slices.
  7. Place rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for 30-45 minutes.
